Welcome to Waialua

Let’s all slow down the pace and enter Waialua on the North Shore of Oahu, where the hustle and bustle of Honolulu meets its opposite. The decent from the uphill city of Wahiawa into Waialua can be one of the most breathtaking drives on island with panoramic ocean, mountain, and sunset views. Country beach living resonates through this community and Waialua’s adjacent towns of Haleiwa and Mokuleia.
Historically, when the Waialua Sugar Mill was in operation from the late 1800’s through the 1900’s, Waialua was a small plantation town. Residences began as quaint plantation style homes in which that trend continues today as Waialua maintains it’s blend of residential and agricultural. West of Waialua is Mokuleia which is a bit more rural, featuring larger lots and some stunning beachfront properties. North-East of Waialua is Haleiwa, a town popular among locals and tourists alike as it boasts an assortment of small retail stores and eateries. But no matter which of these three towns you’re in, beauty surrounds you, from lush green valleys of Mt Kaala to a long coastline of gorgeous white sand beaches, making this region ideal for a multitude of outdoor activities on land and water.
Although Waialua, Haleiwa, and Mokuleia may seem off the beaten path and where one may go to get away from it all, the larger cities of Mililani, Waipahu, and Pearl City are no more than 30 minutes away, the airport about 40 minutes, and Waikiki/Honolulu less than an hour. Schofield Barracks and Wheeler Army Airfield are a short 20 minute drive up the hill, and world renowned beaches such as Waimea Bay, Pipeline, and Sunset are just a 15-20 minute drive along the coast.
