Diamond Head

Welcome to Diamond Head

Le’ahi (brow of the tuna), also known as Diamond Head, may be the most spectacular visual site on Oʻahu.   And the neighborhoods surrounding Diamond Head are considered to be some of the most desirable places to live on O’ahu and have some of the most spectacular homes to be found on O’ahu.

Why the name Diamond Head? Well years ago, sailors mistook the calcite crystals found in the rocks of the slopes as diamonds.  Initially they called the mountain, Diamond Hill.

These days,  the Diamond Head neighborhood is a mixture of luxurious oceanfront homes, while beautiful older plantation style homes as well as some newer construction homes can be found setback from the ocean.  At the bottom of the westward facing slope, you’ll find a cluster of apartment and condominiums. And also around the slopes of Diamond Head are some beautiful gated, hillside retreats that offer incredible ocean views.
